I have a number of goals for this new year but one of them is to get into shape ~ losing weight will be a wonderful benefit, but I'm not so worried about weighing less. I just want it to be toned muscle and I want to fit my clothes better and have the endurance to hike the Grand Canyon in September.
Several micro goals:
1 - Start tracking my caloric intake
This is so I can see what I eat everyday & determine if I need to adjust anything.
2 - Exercise 3-5 times a week
My husband bought me a pedometer which will measure how far I've walked/run and it will log how many calories I burned. I also want to do some strength training...
3 - Want to be in better shape when I turn 41 in April than when I turned 40 last year.
This will be hard to measure since I don't have record of where I was last year. However, I have hovered between 133-139 lbs. for years. If I can get below 130 by April 21st, that would be some improvement (even though I'm more concerned with muscle tone than weight, it's hard to track muscle tone.)
4 - Be in good shape by summer camp - July 8th
Endurance & less body fat....
5 - Be ready to hike the Grand Canyon in Sept.
Endurance, stamina & more muscle....
So, I'm putting together a plan.
I'll write more when I figure out what my goals are.
Here's to 2008!!!
